Luis Suarez has today been strongly linked with a move to White Hart Lane. He has been sensational in the Dutch 'Eredivisie' over the past couple of seasons but there are doubt whether or not his style of football would suit the Premiership.
Suarez had impressed at the World Cup alongside strike partner Diego Forlan, scoring a decent three goals in a 'Forlan' inspired campaign. Suarez does however have issues to address if he descends upon London, and was banned for seven league games this season for Ajax, for outrageously biting Otman Bakkal on the PSV Eindhoven team.
The fee is likely to break the bank for Spurs but with Robbie Keane most certainly on his way out, it seems logical. Ajax have issued privately that they would accept bids starting around €17 million and that would be considered a bargain for Harry Redknapp and Co.
Suarez was the highest scorer in the Eredivisie last year with a tremendous 35 goals, and continued that form into the World Cup, performing consistently, prior to his despicable handball to deny Ghana an extra time equaliser.
Harry Redknapp has also been in the market for a new right mid, as David Bentley prepares to leave the Lane, possibly joining Newcastle or Everton. And the replacement has been targeted as Manchester United legend David Beckham.
Harry Redknapp has expressed his desire to land the 35 year old but the only disadvantage of the potential deal would be short lived, only extending until March as that is when the MLS restarts.
Beckham himself has also stated he'd enjoy a move to London but it all depends on the approval of LA Galaxy as they could be the one potential downfall.
Beckham had player over 250 games for United before he left for the glamorous Madrid, and then signing for Galaxy in 2009.
