Recently Redknapp has expressed his desire to land the Englishman but speculation has cooled over the past week following The Galaxy's delay of accepting Tottenham's proposal. However, today news broke of how Galaxy have finally accepted the loan deal.
Sky Sports today claimed that 14 clubs worldwide were interested in Beckham's services but it's Tottenham who lead the pack, and at odds of 1/5 who would dare bet against them.
Redknapp has continually praised Beckham in his press conferences, saying :
“It tells you everything about the man that he could be sitting in California for three months but he wants to come and play football.
“His life is sorted and he just wants to play football, that’s why he wants to come here, he’s from the area and he said his grandad was a Spurs fan.”
“He’d be great around the place and he’d be a great role model around the place for the young players.”
The only disadvantage for this loan move is the fact that Beckham will only be available for 9-10 matches, if his move is completed in time to face former club Manchester United on January 16th and what a spectacle that would be.
