New York Cosmo's Due To Make Bid For Ryan Giggs

The New York Cosmo's have made an audacious attempt on landing veteran Ryan Giggs for a series of exhibition matches, similar to the Harlem Globetrotters, in 2012.

It's being touted as the farewell Giggs should receive if he doesn't receive a contract extension by the end of this summer, and he could join the newly reformed Cosmo's, who Pele used to play for, and compete at 2012, as part of a series of big games to return them to the world stage.

Phil Neville, funnily enough, has been linked with a move to the Cosmo's as well, as they want to hit 2012 with a bang, gaining some Premier league stars in the process.

It would be nothing new for the MLS, as we have discovered, over the past five years or so, that the Major league Soccer is where former Premier league stars go to 'die' i.e Thierry Henry, Juan Pablo Angel.
