Baggies' Target Federico Macheda Makes Way For Sampdoria

Frustrated Manchester United youngster, Federico Macheda, is reportedly on the brink of completing a loan deal to Sampdoria, situated in Italy. He will join on a six month deal which sees him finish the season with the Italian outfit.

West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo had declared an interest in the young Italian but it seems like he's set to return to his home country, snubbing Roberto & West Bromich Albion. Sir Alex Ferguson had been keen for Macheda to ply his trade in the Premier League but Macheda has decided to go to Italy. Macheda will be largely compared to former striker Antonio Cassano, who has officially left for AC Milan. Macheda will be seen as the successor for Cassano and will be depended upon largely to deliver, following his match winning performances for United in the past.

"The only thing missing is the formalities,". Macheda's agent told Sky Italia

I hope to finish everything by tonight so the player will be available for Sunday.”

"It is 99 per cent certain he would go straight back to Manchester United.

"I think Alex Ferguson wants him back, because he considers Macheda a major European talent."

Macheda is anxious for more first team football and this move would be ideal for the youngster.
