Rafael Benitez Sacked From Inter Milan

Last night it was confirmed that Rafael Benitez was looking for a new job after issuing an ultimatum to the board about the availability of transfer funds and the factor of poor form also a key contributer in the end of Benitez's era.

His Inter side beat TP Mazembe to win the club world championship last Saturday but it wasn't enough to save his job. Benitez has been under fire throughout his six month tenure in Milan with his Inter side a force no longer to be reckoned with. Inter currently lie in seventh place and 13 points off leaders and city rivals AC Milan. It seems a distant memory that they won the treble last season under 'the special one' Jose Mourinho, who now plies his trade at Madrid.

There were various questions put to Massimo Moratti during the whole of yesterday regarding the sacking of Benitez and rumors are circulating that former AC Milan manager Leonardo will be appointed.

Benitez is currently in Liverpool looking to enroll his children in school there and with Roy Hodgson struggling, who knows what could happen come the new year.
