Has Roy Hodgson's Tenure At Anfield Come To An End?

The pressure was heaped on manager Roy Hodgson last night as his Liverpool side fell victim to a spirited Wolves performance, losing 1-0.

There's been controversy surrounding Hodgson throughout his entire time at Liverpool and this latest installment accompanies the cruel comments made about him. Tonight was the perfect night for Liverpool, as they looked to get back on track in their season following a run of three defeats in four. But, It was not the case as a 56th minute goal from Stephen Ward piled on the pressure at Anfield and there are growing doubts whether or not Hodgson is longer eligible for the job.

Liverpool currently sit in 12th position, ironically the same as Fulham at this stage last year, and are set for their points to accumulate to 46 points - yep you guessed it, the same as Fulham last season.

When Liverpool appointed Hodgson they had mainly only done so due to his considerably good success in Europe, for only one season. It was a crazy appointment at the time, and still is in the present as Hodgson has continually struggled throughout his time at Anfield.

Hodgson, since 1999, has gone club hopping and has arrived at 9, soon to be 10 clubs. His appointment at Fulham was of course risky but it paid off with marvelous performances in Europe as well as guiding them to a top 7 finish in 2009, just before his departure.

There have already been rumors speculating over who the next manager will be, with Frank Rijkard currently leading the pack.
