In an astonishing story broken by Madrid newspaper, Marca, it's been reported that Real Madrid manager Jose Mournho will make a move for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas. Real will battle it out with Barca for the signing of Cesc Fabregas, which will apparently occur this coming summer for a fee reported to be in the region of €35 million.
Fabregas was the main talking point in the transfer window last time around, and was heavily linked with a move back to home club Barcelona. He was even pictured wearing a Barcelona shirt, which sparked outrage amongst Arsenal fans.
Mourinho has been looking for the perfect partner to accommodate pass master Xabi Alonso, and together they would create the world's finest midfield pairing.
Fabregas was one of Wengers first big youth signing and he has evolved as one of the greatest players ever to ply his trade at the London based club. He has scored 3 and assisted 6 this season, unfortunately hampered by injuries. He was also made captain when Thierry Henry departed for the sunny city of Barcelona in 2007.
